What Is It?? (Just Kidding, We All Know What It Is)

These last couple weeks have been super stressful for me.  I've been diligently working on my 25 page brief for school while trying to balance other classes and my home life.

To make matters worse, the tiger pup has been in full on asshole mode.  So, when my car started making a whiny belt noise, I was really unhappy.  So, I called Mr. Fix-it.

Then I saw this fine "sculpture" in his garage, and my whole situation changed.  That whining?  Just the power steering pump.  The puppy?  Bought her a treadmill.  That "sculpture"?  The guy who noticed it referred to it as a carving of a sweet potato.  Awesome.  Spider Lady informs me it is not a self, ah hem, sculpture of Mr. Fix-it as she probably would have noticed that bump by now...Thanks, Mr. Fix-it, this made my week.  Oh, and y'all should check out the poll on the main page to vote!

Dogtown Review

Dogtown is an awesome local specialty place known for their gourmet 'dogs.  These babies are served on french bread and damn are they tasty!  That first one up there is the "Greek Stray" and it's just like a gyro...but a hot dog.  It was awesome.

Fancy got the "Mongrel" which is like the kitchen sink of hot dogs.  It has a little bit of everything, and Fancy said it was actually a bit too much.  (To be fair she likes things kind of bland, so I'm not 100% sure why she picked that particular doggy.)

Next up, I scored a "Boston Terrier."  It has bacon and baked beans and Cincinnati chili.  I fully enjoyed every bite of this puppy.

For something a little different Fancy grabbed a Polish Sausage.  She loved it.  One of the things Dogtown is known for is their fresh sauerkraut, and it made this sandwich a real standout.

I added an order of "loaded fries" which had cheese and Cincinnati chili.  They were a great compliment to my dogs.

This here is the berry pie.  It looked delicious and tasted that way, too.  Fancy said hers had too many blueberries, and who the hell likes blueberries?  Not this okapi.  Fuck blueberries.

You know what else is cool?  There are pics of dogs everywhere.  I goddamn love dogs.  So, in total this okapi gives Dogtown 4.5 stars.  Get your tail down to Dogtown and have yourself a delicious dog.

Pok-A-Dot Revisited

So, a couple months ago I did a review of pok-a-dot in Batavia.  Fancy and I really enjoyed our meal, so we decided to pop back by and hit y'all with a re-review.

Once again I got the "special" which consisted of a double cheeseburger and fries.  This time I didn't get a whole plate of fries, but the portion was still quite generous...and oh yeah, that roll was grilled!  This was goddamn delicious.

Fancy ordered the beef on weck which was once again large and extremely tasty.  They also give a little side dish of horseradish for those of you who dig that sort of thing.

We also grabbed an order of fried broccoli and cheese bites.  They were awesome and nicely priced at around 4 bucks.

One of the coolest parts about this place is it's an old style coffee counter, so you can sit inches away from your cooking food.  This place is terrific and the staff is very friendly.  5 stars, bitches, so go get your pok-a-dot on.

Tiger Pup Snow Fun

Not much going on here except we got buried in snow on Sunday.  The only family member happy about it was Agnes the Tiger Pup.  She loves the white fluffy water that covered the yard, so I shoveled some at her as I cleared a path for the furlesses.  Enjoy!

Best. Break-up. Ever.

So, lil' bro white tiger was in a relationship of sorts with this guy, Fawkes.  Fawkes is a furry, too.  He's a fox.  Get it?  Anyway, they were both living at our house for a little over a month and lil' bro decided after a year of supporting Fawkes it was over.  So, we discussed this and let 'lil bro know he needed to tell Fawkes the bad news.  We also made it a point that he should tell Fawkes why he wanted the relationship to end.

So, he called Fawkes upstairs and had him sit down.  Then he said, "You know I want you gone, right?"  Fawkes said, "Yeah..."  Lil' bro: "You'll have to call your dad [in Oklahoma]."  Then he looked over at me, turned back to Fawkes and said: "Oh.  I want you gone because I don't like your fucking attitude."   Best.  Break-up.  Ever.  Oh, and the pics for this post?  It's because I didn't know there were hooks under bars for purses.  Huh, learn something new everyday.

Seriously, Pets?

Something amazing happened around here: the cats figured out how to get through the plastic on our living room window.  First, Fast Eddie (pictured below) scratched a small whole in the plastic when Fancy didn't let him outside fast enough for his liking.  He literally walked over and cut a hole in the plastic in retaliation.

See?  Even the vet realized he was crazy and muzzled him for everyone's safety when I brought him in to get his nails clipped.  Eddie doesn't fuck around.  So anyway, Sandra (striped kitteh in the window) was like "Holy shit!!!  Our claws work on that stuff???"  Three day after I patched Eddie's claw mark, I tossed Sandra off of my laptop so I could do homework.  Do you know what she did?  She clawed a hole in the plastic and jumped onto the window seat.  Then she walked across the window seat to the far end, clawed another hole, and hopped out.

Soon, she realized that the plastic was a force field through which she could claw the puppy.  The puppy soon noticed that her big, square, head could punch a hole in the plastic.  Now when I sit on my chair a nice, cold breeze blows and the striped pets play with each other through the plastic.  Pets: 3  Okapi: 0.

What I'm Up To...

So, I've been a bit busy recently.  School restarted and so I'm busting my ass again.  The funny thing about it is I'm glad to be back.  I guess it's a good sign.  I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine and he asked what else I'd like to pursue if I didn't go to law school.  I thought about it and realized there is nothing else I want to be doing.

This may seem like a bit of an odd post.  But, I was sitting here and working through yet another assignment when I decided maybe I should let y'all know what I'm thinking.  I was always a bit skeptical about this "meant to be" shit.  Now, though?  I like going to school every day, and I like learning about the law, hell I even kind of like writing these damn papers.  So figure out what you want to do, and do it.  You'll be happy you did.
